When an artist that works in a variety of styles is asked to create a self portrait, how can he choose just one? Multiple layers of Acetate with Acrylic Ink and captured bubbles in resin come together atop a panel mounted photograph in this self portrait.
Taken moments after a 4am alarm cut through the night, I jumped out of bed and took my portrait. Before bed I set up the white backdrop, camera, and lighting. I set my alarm for a crazy hour to create a rawness that wouldn’t be polished by typical morning rituals.
